Week 8 of the high school football season provided more impressive stats and breakout plays in the Baton Rouge area.

Who do you think was Baton Rouge’s best prep football player in Week 8? It’s time to vote

Ja’Juan Jackson, St. James: Was 19 of 21 for 186 yards and four TDs in 7-3A win over Donaldsonville.

Zai Martin, University: Caught 10 passes for 140 yards and 1 TD; also returned a punt 60 yards for a TD vs. Parkview in 6-3A.

Jude Morrison, Catholic-PC: Had 273 total yards of offense — 151 rushing with two TDs and 122 passing with one TD — in a 5-1A win over St. Edmund.

Troy Sylve, Walker: Accounted for five TDs, including four TD passes in 44-22 5-5A win over Dutchtown.

Marques Williams, Southern Lab: returned a punt 65 yards for a TD in the Kittens’ 9-1A win over Kentwood.
