It looks like Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham’s oldest son, Michael, is fully tapping into his athletic side, just like his father, and is turning into a much younger version of his movie star father.
Mark, 53, is known for his extreme discipline when it comes to his fitness and health regime, and Michael, 18, is also becoming a mini-me with his passion for jiu-jitsu.
Michael is a fan and student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsuand his mother Rhea, 46, will often share updates from his tournament endeavors, most recently celebrating one of his wins in a new social media update.
The model took to her Instagram page with a series of recent photos, including some from outings at soccer games with her husband, showcasing merchandise from the teams she was rooting for.
She also shared a snapshot of Michael being announced as the winner of a recent competitioncaptioning his post: “Patriots won. The Chiefs won. @mikewahlbergbjj won. My bag had its moment. Today was a good day.”
The teenage fighter shared an update on the same on his personal social media page, writing, “Moved up a weight class today, still got some W’s.” his mom commented, “I’m so proud of you,” and his dad left a trail of cheers and flaming emojis in his wake.
Mark and Rhea are also parents to daughters Ella, 20, and Grace, 14, plus younger son Brendan, 16. Brendan is a basketball fan and also enjoys playing golf like his dad. Michael is also an avid boxer and bodybuilder, while Ella is a student at Clemson University.
Most notably, the youngest Grace is an equestrian, with the professional show jumper already emerging as a major contender among her generation and winning several races and ribbons, having spoken in the past of her Olympic ambitions down the line.

The Ted said the actor Well! News that his daughter was actually the most disciplined in the family when it came to routine, even more so than her father. “My daughter – believe it or not – is more disciplined than I am.”
“I didn’t adopt that kind of discipline until I was in my 30s and had to do it for work. And now she’s doing it alone because she wants to be an Olympic champion.”

He joked, “I’ve always thought the Patriots going to the Super Bowl was the most nerve-wracking experience I’ve ever had. Nothing like watching my daughter on a horse.”
Mark also spoke about his sons’ ambitions, saying Michael is “really into MMA, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai right now,” while Brendan “says he’s a better actor than me and he’s going to be bigger than me.”

The family also moved from California to Las Vegas in 2022 and Mark explained in an interview with people that it’s all about the kids and their hobbies. “It’s a place where my kids can thrive, do their work and pursue their interests.”
“Being able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue my dreams — whether it’s my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — it made a lot more sense to us . “
