Ghost concluded their “Re-Imperatour” in October 2023, a run that included two sold-out concerts at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.
The Los Angeles concerts were documented with the 2024 concert film Rite Here Rite Nowwhich was directed by frontman Tobias Forge and director Alex Ross Perry.
Speaking of NME of the project this summer, Perry explained, “Ghost as a band is like a planet, and the story is like the moon. The moon is not part of the planet, but it orbits it.
“The songs and the meanings are thematically related to what Ghost is after, but they don’t create a rock opera about this family dynamic of mothers, sons and fathers. I think for the fans it’s like getting two meals instead of one.”
In a four-star review of Rite here right now, NME wrote: “If you’re a casual fan, Rite Here Rite Now makes for a fun, enjoyable experience that should tide you over until their next album or tour. But if you’re a die-hard, this is essential viewing – not just for the thrilling live moments, but for the next installment in the haunting ghost saga.”
