Gasoline prices down more than 10 cents/gram in Birmingham this week – Alabama news leader

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Birmingham has dropped 10.9 cents in the past week, to an average of $2.74, according to GasBuddy.

This is 2.7 cents/g less than a month ago and 24.6 cents/g less than a year ago.

In Birmingham, the lowest price was $2.47/g Sunday and the highest was $3.09/g. Across the country, prices ranged from $2.46/g to $3.99/g.

Nationally, the price fell 5.3 cents/g in the past week to average $3.07/g. This is 12.9 cents/g less than a month ago and 39.8 cents/g less than a year ago. Diesel fell 2.6 cents/gram in the past week to $3.54 a gallon. The lowest price is more than 1100 days.

  • Huntsville – $2.80/g, down 4.2 cents/g
  • Alabama – $2.75/g, down 6.4 cents/g
