Tucker Carlson heated up the crowd Sunday at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally by falsely calling the Democratic nominee a “Samoan from Malaysia.”
Harris is not Samoan or Malaysian; her father is Jamaican and her mother immigrated to the US from India.
“No fair system would elevate someone like Kamala Harris to the presidential nomination,” an incredulous Carlson told the sold-out crowd. “She was never accused of doing anything useful. She doesn’t exactly have any accomplishments. She was nominated without receiving a single vote.
Carlson, a fierce right-wing ally of Trump who once passed for a reasonable token conservative host of the liberal MSNBC network, was one of several openers at the star-studded MAGA rally in New York. Carlson joins the ranks of Hulk Hogan, Elon Musk, Melania Trump and comedian Tony Hinchcliffewhose lewd jokes about Puerto Ricans received almost immediate pushback from both Democrats and Republicans.
During his brief speech, Carlson preemptively criticized Harris’ theoretical victory on Nov. 5 and seemingly led attendees to question the election results.
“It’s going to be pretty hard to look at us and say, ‘You know what? Kamala Harris, she got 85 million votes because she’s so impressive as the first Samoan-Malaysian former California DA with a low IQ to ever be elected president. It was just a wave of public support and anyone who thinks otherwise is just a freak or a criminal,” Carlson said, teasingly.
“No, she’s not impressive,” Carlson said. “I’m going to find it very hard to believe that the rest of us are going to say, ‘You know what, Joe Scarborough, you’re right. She won fair and square because she’s so impressive!'”
