BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPRUD) — A Denham Springs man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Tickfau Sunday morning.

According to Louisiana State Police, around 11 a.m., officers were called to a fatal crash on La Hwy 1064 at Addison Road in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash claimed the life of 31-year-old Brandon Scott McAllister.

During the investigation, officers learned that McAllister was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was westbound on La Hwy 1064. Another motorcycle was following McAllister. The two motorcycles were in the right lane. A 2005 Toyota Corolla was also westbound in the left lane of La Hwy 1064 toward Addison Road. Before reaching the intersection of La Hwy 1064 and Addison Road, the Corolla began to slow down and turn left.

Although both motorcyclists were wearing helmets, McAllister suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries, police said.
