Tens of thousands are left without power winter storms roll through Virginia – WWBT

Richmond, Washington (World War II) – tens of thousands are left without power after a winter storm that passed through Virginia on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thursday morning, Dominion Energy announced that he was able to restore the power to the greater part of his customers.

“Throughout the night, our specialized crews worked tirelessly to restore power to more than 80% of the 210,000 customers affected by the storm,” Dominion Energy says in a social media post.

On Wednesday, people in the Richmond area woke up without force after the trees fell to the top of power lines.

This includes a neighborhood near Avenue Forest Hill, where a tree fell to the top of the Cherokee Road power line.

On Thursday, Dominion Energy said most affected customers at Metro Richmond will be restored by their power by 11:00 pm.

However, interruptions in Southside Virginia may extend on Friday.
