Multiple weather signals issued to the Durham region when the winter storm passes – Durhamradionews.com


A snowfall warning rejects the entire Durham region with a large snowstorm that is expected to be reduced in some areas later on Thursday.

Both the northern and southern part of the region will see an additional five to ten centimeters of snow on Thursday with the worst snow expected on Thursday morning.

It can be mixed with ice pellets and there is a risk of freezing rain for areas near Ontario Lake.

Environment Canada says time will affect the morning trips and the degree of snowfall can reach between two and four inches per hour.

The time agency says that the rapid accumulation will make it difficult to travel and visibility.

The snow is expected to end later on Thursday morning or early afternoon.

More weather signals are also in force for northern Durham only.

Snow Squall Watch says snowmobiles are expected to develop on Thursday afternoon or evening.

They can cause significantly to vary the conditions only within a few kilometers.

Snow squares can bring another 10 to 20 centimeters of snow and peak snowfall can reach up to three centimeters per hour.

The schwars will continue until Friday morning.

Northern Durham is also under an inflating snow advice.

The environment Canada says that wind gusts up to 60 km/h will develop on Thursday morning and will continue on Thursday night.

They are expected to gradually lose weight on Friday morning.

Strong winds can cause snowfall along the way and close to zero visibility at times.
