Durham Cathedral Wants Reviews Before Audit Protection – Yahoo News UK

The Durham Cathedral wants public feedback before an independent protection audit.

The audit ordered by the English Church will be held by the Ineqe Protection Group.

The aim is to ensure that the environments are “safe, respectful and inclusive for all”.

The cathedral calls for pilgrims, volunteers, children, young people and others who serve to participate in an online survey.

Participants belonging to more than one suitable group are encouraged to complete all applicable studies.

The studies are both anonymous and confidential, which allows people to provide honest feedback.

The answers will go directly to the Ineqe audit team, not to the English Church or from the Durham Cathedral team.

This includes feedback from victims and survivors of abuse.

The deadline for completing the survey is March 6 at 11.30 pm.

The results of the study will be used in the audit process, which should start the week starting on May 6, both at Durham and Durham Cathedral.

A spokesman for the cathedral said: “In Durham Cathedral, our culture is one of the recognition of existing good practices while looking for a continuous improvement, and we are glad to commit ourselves with the Ineqe audit process as an opportunity to experience this culture.”

The cathedral advises some people to receive the request for completing the study more than once, or from the Durham Cathedral or in the Duma Diocese, in an attempt to reach as many people as possible.

The protection survey can be available online and must be completed before the deadline.
