UFC Seattle takes another major hit, losing half of your event in an accomplice – Forbes

UFC Seattle looked like one of the best night cards on paper, but the value of its surface began to fade. The card lost its event in a ratio when Dominic Cruz received a shoulder injury that forced him to retire.

Now another major card battle is broken.

Edson Barbose was ready to take over the more permeable master of Ko Stephen Garcia, but the first is out of the match with a Marcel Dorf injury of Tapology (H/T Kevin).

The 39-year-old Barboza seeks to bounce off the loss of a unanimous decision to Lerone Murphy in May 2024. Before the loss to Murphy, the Brazilian legend won two in a row, with victories over Billy Carantillo and unanimous winning Sodiq Yusuff.

While standing, Garcia needs a new opponent. The event will happen on February 22, so if someone stands up, they will have to be an opponent ready to fight something near a 10 -day notice.

It is not impossible, as we just saw Mashrabon Rusiboev enter for Kaubo Fernandes at four days of notice to face Jared Gordon on the UFC Apex Saturday Card in Las Vegas.

This will depend on whether the UFC can find a feather admission and whether Garcia is ready to face the replacement fighter. Garcia won five consecutive matches and scored in each of these victories.

Garcia hoped to win a win with Barbose is currently # 15. He may not want to accept a fight against a tireless opponent. So far, here’s a look at the current UFC Seattle card:

  • Henry Chezhoodo vs. An angry song – weight
  • Brandon Allen vs Alexander Hernandez – Medium Weight
  • Jean Silva vs. Melsik Baghdasarian – Feather
  • Ketlen Vieira vs. Macy Chiasson – Bantamweight
  • Ion Cutelaba vs. IBO Aslan – a mild heavyweight category
  • Modestas Bukauskas vs. Raffael Cerqueira – a light heavyweight
  • Ricky Simón vs. Javid Bashat – Bantamweight
  • Andre Fili vs. Melquizael Costa – a feather weight
  • Nick Klein vs. Mansour Abdul-Malik-Mountain Weight
  • Adam Fugit vs. Ray Goff – Medium Weight

The main event is still intact, with Cejudo taking a song. Fans also have to take into account every battle of Silva-he is one of what feels like an endless line of perspectives on the championship coming from the battleship camp.

Vieira-Chiasson is a big match and finally, the match in Klein-Absul-Malik is a battle between two of the best perspectives of the latest season of Dana White’s contender.
