Rotten braces for heavy snow and winter mix before Valentine’s Day – Country Herald

Burlington, VT – A powerful winter storm is set to influence Vermont over the weekend, wearing snow, winter mix and strong winds. Residents need to prepare for dangerous travel conditions and a rapidly changing time.

According to the National Meteorological Service (NWS), a slight snow is expected to continue overnight before switching to a combination of rainfall, frozen rain and snow on Thursday morning. The high will reach the mid-30s, but the ice roads can create dangerous driving conditions, especially during the morning and evening trips.

By Friday, temperatures will fall in the low 20 years, with mostly sunny sky offering a short break before another winter storm arrives on Saturday night. The accumulation of snow can be significant, with a 90% chance of rain until Sunday.

Drivers must use caution, especially on basic routes such as I-89 and I-91, where icy conditions can develop. Electricity interruptions are possible due to the accumulation of ice and gusts of winds.

Looking forward, temperatures remain cold early next week, with more snow as possible until Monday. Residents need to be updated with the latest forecasts and prepare for potential interruptions.
