BOISE, Idaho (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women’s soccer team’s 2-0 loss in its final regular-season road game of the season at Boise State at the Boas Soccer Complex on Sunday didn’t affect its postseason hopes.
After the exit against the Broncos (15-2-2, 8-0-2), the Rebels (7-9-2, 5-4-1) still got their first Mountain West Tournament berth since 2016 with New Mexico , Wyoming and UNR all tied. The Scarlet & Gray are currently in fifth place in the MW standings with one regular season game remaining before heading to San Diego for conference postseason play.
The Scarlet & Gray hit double figures with 10 total goals, but BSU got the decisive two scores in the first half as part of their 17 shots for the game.
NEXT: In their final game of the regular season, the Rebels will face in-state rival UNR in a Halloween showdown at Peter Johann Memorial Field on Thursday at 7 p.m.
