Dad, who bought two “end” tickets to see Black Sabbath, explained why he sprayed nearly 6,000 British pounds on two passes to attend the last show of Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham.

Ozzy will join Bill Ward, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi for the last time on Saturday, July 5, 2025 with tickets for the full day event, which will be sold on Friday, February 14th.

It was during the initial rush for tickets to Dad South Wales Alex Jones, a 46-year-old, clicked two of the most expensive tickets available for the mega show “Back to the Beginning”.

Alex secured two passes so that he and the daughter Gwen can enjoy the “daughter of a father who connect”, which he says he will come from seeing Black Saturday, Metallica, killer, anthrax and other huge Names from the world of heavy metal on the stage.

He said to Birmingham: “There is something beautiful poetic about watching the last head of black Saturday unfold with my own caviar, which inherited both my love for metal and the appreciation of the darker side of life.

“I know that £ 2,932.50 may seem like selling your soul twice to some, but witnessing this congregation of metal royalty from the side stage, in Aston in all places? It’s beyond invaluable to me.

“Imagine my daughter’s face when I told her that she would look not only the original staff of Saturday, but also Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and practically every legend that once kept a guitar in anger. It was certainly a time.

“The fact that she will see everyone from Tom Morelo to the Daddy of the Ghost, from Billy Corgan to Wolfgang van Halen, while standing where the history of metals will be made in the last time – well, this is the species of the daughter who connecting money can actually buy, obviously!

“To be able to share this collection of metal titans with my daughter Gwen and watching her testimony at this historic moment on this privileged side of the stage point of view is the true dark blessing here.

“I suspect that champagne was not what they meant when they played the crown back in ’68, but times change while the darkness remains eternal!

“It’s not just a concert. It’s a worship, the chance to convey the next generation torch as you watch the last chapter of a story that changed the music forever, exactly where it all started.”

Alex said he appreciates some, he can judge his decision, but as an independent businessman living with a chronic illness, he knows the value of his family.

“I am a working -class man who grew up in a small terrace in a closed Welsh Milling village. Raised by my independent mother hairdresser, I have worked very hard for every penny throughout my life.

“We are not materialistic, we give away experiences and memories instead of things. When I saw the prices, I was amazed, but in this 10-minute window of opportunities, my thought was just” Yes, it’s *** “!”

Alex added: “I have ulcerative colitis, among the many other boxing diseases. I have an aggressive form of it and I do not have the longevity of other dads. I have had chemo three times and so far, so well.

“This is one of the reasons I do what I do. I’m not on any benefits or state aid, what I earn is what I get.

“There is no stability, but I am the master of my own destiny, since I realized that my illness was the worst thing that had ever happened to me, but at the same time made me realize that nothing was restricted.

“People will say that money can be spent” better “, but better are relative to the journey of every soul. We have everything we need, taking care of the pennies and choosing our condescension carefully.

“Yes, the concert will be sold independently, but it is not a privilege – it is a matter of priorities and preparation.”

Alex adds that there are performers who play in the squad that he could not dream of seeing in his youth.

“There are groups and performers in this list that I could never afford the bus to concerts, let alone a ticket or entrance fees. I always wanted to see Ozzy Live and I was a fan of Saturday, as I was seven . “

Alex and Gwen were touring the world, looking at their favorite groups together and Alex sensed these experiences and memories worth the cost.

“You can’t take your money with you to the grave,” says Alex. “I will not be here forever. My daughter will live past me and will forever tell the story.”
