Brodita Melchor wins WBCA Media Jalapeño Challenge again! – kgns

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Media members gathered at the El Metro Park and rode on Wednesday, February 12, for the annual Media Jalapeño Challenge, a race to see who can eat the most Jalapeno.

This year, KGNS The living room! The host and multimedia journalist Justin Reyes joined the fun, with KNS chief meteorologist Richard Heatwave Berler, who serves as a stopwatch.

The Z-93 Brodita Melchor won the race for the fourth consecutive year by eating 50 Jalapeños. He said eating spicy foods is normal for him.

“I feel great, it’s normal, it’s a normal thing for me, because every day I eat salsa, so it’s a normal thing for me,” Melcher said after his victory.

Melcher invited community members to join the big challenge of the WBCA Jalapeño Festival, which happens on February 21-22 in the same place.
