Metallica’s massive M72 World Tour isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
On September 19, the iconic heavy metal band announced a string of North American M72 World Tour dates in the spring and summer of 2025 with Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies and Ice Nine Kills joining as headliners – and fans are ready .
“Metallica and Limp Bizkit are touring together next year, this is by no means a practice,” user X (formerly Twitter) wrote after the announcement.

“limp bizkit and metallica is an evil combo i didn’t even know was possible, I HAVE to go to this,” said another fan on the social media platform.
One fan even shared a vulnerable story, highlighting how important the tour will be to him. “It’s going to be really hard to be able to afford that. But after what I’ve been through the last 4 years of Chemo and this band kept me alive and still do to this day,” he wrote on X. “Don’t Miss this @Metallica@Pantera my 2 favorite bands of all time !!!”
The new string of dates kicks off with a headlining performance at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas on April 12, followed by shows in cities including Toronto, Nashville, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston and more, before concluding on June 29 at the Mile’s Empower Field High in Denver.
In keeping with their established tradition, each weekend of two shows in the same city will be labeled a ‘No Repeat Weekend’ and will see Metallica perform a different setlist each night, while the opening acts will also rotate so fans can can see everything the M72 World Tour has to offer if they attend both shows.
A show will be very special. On May 7, Metallica will play their first show at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Va. — also home to the Virginia Tech Hokies, who have been playing the band’s classic song “Enter Sandman” while taking the field for more than 20 years.
Tickets will first be available to fan club members on September 23rd at 10am local time. Citi cardholders and Verizon Access users can then get tickets for select dates in two different presale windows, both of which run from September 24 at 10 a.m. local time until September 26 at 10 p.m. local time.
