FHLBank Topeka has promised a seven -digit gift to the MSU Denver Foundation to support the university in the establishment of the institute and its programming. This unique bachelor’s program resides in the Ministry of Finance within the framework of the Business College and will contribute and support from the Industry Advisory Committee. Career aimed courses will provide practical knowledge in the real world in affordable housing finances, property management and residences.

Matt Cupal, FHLBank’s Executive Vice President and Mission Chief Officer, said the AHI expects to have a broad, long -term impact, taking advantage of the community and the accessible home industry. “We have to charge people, engage them and introduce them to affordable homes as a career opportunity,” he said.

The offering of the Institute will supplement the existing real estate program, providing students with a certificate for housing at affordable prices with interdisciplinary course work in both social work and real estate. Two different loan -free courses are offered to public agencies that seek to provide their staff with professional development opportunities. Students will gain knowledge of the ecosystem for financing homes at affordable prices and how, as private sector agencies work jointly in the creation of private partnerships. The FHLBank Topeka Institute for Accessible Housing is organized to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure that students are ready to work and manage both social and real estate aspects at affordable prices.

FHLBank Topeka, owned by members, a federal charted corporation, is one of 11 federal loan banks throughout the country that serves as an economical source of financing for financial member institutions to help them develop. FHLBank Topeka serves 665 Member States, Storesses, Insurance Companies, Credit Unions and Financial Institutions for Community Development in its four state zone in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. The Homes Program, which celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2024, has paid nearly $ 250 million in grants to create more than $ 42,000 in partnership with FHLBank Topeka members and residential partners.
