Ines Soteto’s career night nourishes MSU women’s basketball along Wisconsin – State News

Earlier in the season, the freshman Ines Sotelo talks about his confidence when playing basketball.

On Wednesday night, Sotelo shone offensively with a career-high 17 points for women’s basketball at Michigan State University No. 22 when he beat Wisconsin 91-71.

“Today it was a lot of confidence, I actually have the feeling that we were playing so well and we shared the ball a lot,” Sotelo said. “We all had many opportunities to note, so it gives me confidence to drive everything.”

As a freshman from Spain, Sotelo goes through the ups and falls, but she continues to give it everyone every time she steps on the court with her family and team encouragement.

“It’s hard to be a freshman and also in another country, but here I have the feeling that everyone supports me,” Sotelo said. “I also have bad games, but I just think the next one will be better. Sometimes I feel like I’m losing some confidence in myself, but then, with the support of everyone, I found me again and I can play again better. ”

“We see it, you know that the freshman is the maximum and low levels that could go through the season,” said chief coach Robin Frallik. “But tonight it was fun to watch her how to loosen a little and play confidently and play aggressively and defensively. She just had so much length of our team, so I was happy. ”

Another three Spartans signed in two -digit to help MSU remain under control of the whole game. Junior striker Grace Vanlouten scored 22 points, junior guard Terin Halock added 18 points, and senior guard/forward Jocelylyn Tate Tyt Time 13.

MSU Women’s Basketball will travel to California to face UCLA on Sunday, February 16, from 9pm, followed by USC on Wednesday, February 19 at 9:30 pm
