Makrina Bakery in the Seattle Sodo neighborhood vandalizes – Komo News

One of the entrances to the Makrina Bakery in Sodo is surrounded by a caution strip after police said a woman was breaking the door to the glass window on Wednesday.

In the Seattle Sodo neighborhood, the smell of sweets lingers around the Makrina Bakery.

“I love Makrina. They make great coffee, great sweets, even better bread, in my opinion,” says Galen Lynch, a regular Makrina bakery. Shortly before 9am on Wednesday, police in Seattle said the dispatcher had received reports of a 30-year-old woman who screams and breaks windows and doors in the 1900 block on the 1st Avenue in Seattle.

“I checked the man who makes a new door to the glass door that has broken. It’s sad to see, but it happens a lot in the area,” Lynch said.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspected woman who looked in crisis, holding a large set of pliers.

Police have initiated de -escalation techniques, and the woman has put the instrument and was taken in custody without incidents. The Seattle Fire Department was called to examine the female to tear her hand. The woman was booked at King County Prison on Wednesday.

Police said two large door windows were broken by suspects.

“I think it’s just really a pity. It’s devastating to have [a] Small companies go through such things, “said Cindy Sui.” They have to take the bill. “

Until one entrance was blocked, the second entrance was still open to customer use. The bakery resumed operations as usual after the incident.

The owner and employees of Macrina Bakery declined to comment.
