Sierra Verde School in Glendale won another dictionary bowl – Daily Independent

Sierra Verde Steam Academy in Glendale recently demanded the first place in Arizona in the fall of the dictionary in 2024, the largest academic competition in the world.

This season, the organizers of the international event introduced new divisions, attracting more than 175,000 students from 1800 schools covering 75 countries.

Students from Sierra Verde mastery 11,261 words, putting them first in Arizona for the third consecutive season.

The St. Thomas Aquinski High School in Florida won the autumn title of 2024 at the high school level, mastering the shocking 122,000 words

“In 2024, the Dictionary Cup emphasizes the power of words to bring together students, teachers and students from around the world,” said Paul Mishkin, CEO of IXL Learning, Company on Rotabulary.com, in a press release. “It is inspiring to see so many people – whether in classrooms or studying independently – still generic words and construction skills that will last a lifetime.”
