Learn EXPO LARDO’S LAWN AND GARDEN Gardening Tips this Saturday – KGNS

Laredo, Tex. (KGNS) – The exposure of the grass and the garden will be held this Saturday, offering tips for spring planting and more.

Jeffrey Hester of Texas A&M Agrilife and JJ Flores, a gardener, talks about the event, which will take place on February 15th.

Hester explained that although she does not feel like spring, it’s time to start preparing for planting in South Texas. He said Expo would present speakers on topics such as the best vegetables and herbs for planting, attracting pollinators and grass care.

“We have great speakers of speakers and we will also discuss the wildlife that can appear in your backyard,” Hester said. “We will also provide advice and tricks for grass care.”

Flores said sellers would be at the event offering plants and other garden products, with local suppliers donating doors awards.

The event will be at the Falcon International Bank of McPherson Avenue, to the border foundry. Registration begins at 8:30 in the morning and the program starts at 9 am

Participants are encouraged to be registered in advance for the event, and the first 100 registers will be introduced in a drawing for doors awards.

“This is a great chance to learn and ask experts about your garden and lawn,” Flores said.
