Much of Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi remain under a tornado clock until 20:00 with a hard time in the forecast on Wednesday

The National Meteorological Service issued the clock around noon on Wednesday. It applies to 22 parishes in Louisiana, including Orleans, Jefferson, East Rouge Bato, St. Tamani and Lafurche, as well as several districts in Mississippi.

Hard weather is expected to go through the area on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Forecasters have said they will be possible isolated to scattered heavy thunderstorms and could lead to harmful winds, hail, isolated tornado and heavy rainfall that can lead to a lightning flood.

Those in the affected areas should be alert and monitor local time updates.

If the watch is upgraded to a warning, it means that a tornado is reported and you should immediately look for shelter away from the exterior walls and windows.
