Leblanc assumes ETHICS FLEDGE for Irving – Western Standard

The two New BrunSwickers are such close friends Leblanc earlier used a corporate Irving aircraft to attend medical meetings in Montreal. The LeBLANC conflict screen is the sofa-signed by Finance Minister, which includes a federally regulated contractor.

The Irving companies manage Timberlands, shipyards, cargo carriers, carving and mills for cellulose and paper and paper mills. Irving’s subsidiaries also sell consumer products such as Royale fabric paper and frozen cavens.

“I agreed to give up any discussion or decision regarding my friend’s private interests, including his business interests,” Leblanc wrote.

“I also agree that I have no communication with civil servants regarding any process of making questions or decisions that I or my administrator knows or should reasonably know that it would affect Mr Irving’s interests. “

“This screen is administered by my head of staff and Deputy Minister of Finance to make sure that I am neither aware nor participated in official issues or decision-making processes involving Mr. Irving’s interests. “

“I will participate in solutions or questions with common application and those that can influence the interests of G -NEVING as a member of a wide class of persons, unless these interests are disproportionate to other members of the class.”
