The property itself has a long history. Created as a Pony Express stop in 1860, it has several owners over the years, but its status outside the network has proven to be difficult for most. In 1985, Fredda Stevenson bought the property and began a thorough recovery process with the help of the Churchill County Museum. The restaurant is entirely decorated with artifacts found on the spot, and the bottles of medicines, old signs and ancient instruments add to the atmosphere of a rural cowboy.
