Kansas National Guard sees Boost in attraction numbers, recruiter shares why – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (Wibw) – Mariajose Sanchez wears many crowns, including the Queen of the House, the captain of fun and a fighter of freedom.

“Ever since I hit this teenage point, I knew the military, I was disciplined by the military, so I really can’t see life with it,” said Kansas National Guard Mariaje Sanchez.

Sanchez is always ready for challenge, so joining Jrotc at Topeka West was the perfect step.

“I went there as a class in high school, something a little more challenging and fell in love with it, in discipline and all that,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez has been among the recruits, raising the National Guard number in Kansas over the last two years. The recruitrs claim that last year, more than 500 people were enrolled to serve, which was nearly 200 more than 2022.

“We have really seen an increase with them just working in the community and talking to the new recruits and we really work with them and come up with what they want to do with their lives and what their goals are and see how the National Guard can really work with them, To do this, “Kansas said, recruiting CSM battalion Kimberly Fox.

Some register to get higher education to get the best job, allowing people like Sanchez to fulfill their dreams.

“I plan to afford my career as well. I think one day the cardiologist, so the National Guard will really help me with that, “Sanchez said.

Sanchez is heading for Boot Camp in the summer of 2025 and will visit the Kansas State University in the fall.
