Wilmington- Septa The train headed to Wilmington from Philadelphia, lit on Thursday, February 6, which made the federal authorities investigate what the fire caused.

No serious injuries have been reported after the Septa vehicle is completely absorbed in flames shortly after leaving the Crum Lynne station.

The train, transporting about 350 people, was stopped around 6:00 pm and the evacuation of his six cars began.

NTSB Public Affairs Officer Keith Holloway says the fire investigation continues in the early stages of investigation.

  • Signal data
  • Maintenance and Train Car Maintenance Records
  • Brake System Verification and Maintenance
  • Review the sending procedures
  • 72-hour crew origin to determine if there are any problems that could affect the operator/engineer’s ability to control the train safely
  • Witness statements
  • Electronic devices that may contain information related to the investigation

The preliminary report will contain factual information collected during the initial phase of the investigation. A probable cause of the crash, along with all contributing factors, will be detailed in the final report, which is expected for 12-24 months.
