Riley Gaines respond to NCAA, which is required to return confessions earned by transsexual athletes in women’s events – Sportskeeda

Recently, Riley Gaines expressed his opinion after President Donald Trump’s administration requested the return of NCAA won by transsexual athletes to women’s events. The search came after Trump signed the executive order forbidding transgender athletes to compete in the sports of women and girls at school and colleges funded by the federal government on February 5, national girls and women on the day of sports, in the east room in the white Home.

Gaines began his advocacy for the safety of women in sports and the exclusion of transsexual athletes from women’s events after women’s swimming championships in 2022. The former Kentucky University swimmer took fifth place with Lia Thomas, a transsexual athlete who competes for Pennn State before the gender and Pennsylvania transition in 2022

Gaines was denied by the trophy in fifth place and was asked to pose on the podium with the trophy in sixth place until he was informed that she would receive his deserved trophy in the mail. However, this did not sit comfortably with Gaines. She has often expressed her protest against NCAA before. After the recent update of President Trump’s administration, she expressed her opinion by writing:

“The Trump and DOE administrator require NCAA & NFHS to return all records, titles, awards and confessions stolen by exceptional women from mediocre men to be returned.”

“This is a critical step in accountability and responsibility. I’ll wait to hear from @Ncaa,” she added.

“Riley was a 12-time uretere American who sacrificed countless hours in the pool.” said President Trump. “She gave up everything and just gave everything she had, but then the league forced her to share a place on the podium with a male swimmer who took her trophy while the media celebrated this stolen glory.”

President Trump added:

“I watched him, many people looked at him. It was ridiculously honestly, but I want to thank Riley. She really was in the foreground.”

The executive order also prohibits transgender athletes from competing at the 2028 Olympics.
