Non -Profit Objective announces a locally managed Creaum Continuous Creaum Program – FOX 34

Lubbock, Texas (News) – Echo West Texas proudly announces that as of February 5, 2025, we have officially become a local continuum of care (COC). This is an important point for us and the community, as it enables us to lead and coordinate effectively to deal with homelessness and provide support for needy people and families.

Being a locally managed COC means that now we have the opportunity to adapt better and optimize our services to meet the unique needs of our community, to ensure that all votes are heard and build stronger partnerships with Local organizations. We will work together to offer complete solutions managed by data that encourage long -term dwelling stability, the support of the sheath and the resources for everyone facing housing challenges.

Echo West Texas is the designated lead agency for our local COC. As a leading agency, we will directly monitor strategies and services aimed at helping people and families find permanent homes and support, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive. This transition allows us to have a local presence offering centralized coordination, improved distribution of resources, increased cooperation and improved data collection.

“We are glad to integrate this transformative homeless response system, which will provide a more connected approach, which not only focuses on the crisis reaction, but also directs efforts to prevent and sustainability.” Valerie Longoria, Executive Director of Echo

Echo West Texas will continue to work with City of Lubbock, South Plains Consortium for homeless, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development of the United States (HUD) and HUD technical assistance. This cooperation provides a network of resources, services and partnerships to ensure that no one falls through the cracks. Together, we are committed to committing ourselves with local stakeholders, community members and those who have experienced homelessness to ensure that our shared decisions and services are inclusive.

“The SPHC remains dedicated to working together to build a system that is responsive, effective and focused on the needs of those we serve. According to the new Echo leadership, our members are committed to ensuring that people who are experiencing homelessness continue to receive the necessary support for independence and stability. “ Aaron Dawson, President of the South Plains Consortium Homeless (SPHC)

“Our goal is to become a model of a model that focuses on long -term solutions and overall support for those who are experiencing homelessness. Thank you for your constant support when we enter this new chapter. Keep an eye on more updates and opportunities to get involved, share your thoughts and help you shape the future of our community! ” David Alderson, President of the Echo Board
