No. 25 Baylor’s Women beat 18 West Virginia 75-65 – The Daily Times

Waco, Texas (AP) -Aarnet Vonleh scored 15 of its 21 points in the second half, Bella Fontleroy had 15 points and four 3-3-challenging, and No. 25 Baylor beat the 18th ranked West Virginia 75-65 on Tuesday night.

Bailor led double numbers for the first six minutes of the fourth quarter, while West Virginia scored six straight to go within 70-61 with 3:31 left. Jada Walker replied to the other end with a three-point game and she again scored 2:18 for the 75-61 lead.

Darianna Littlepage-Buggs had nine points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, and Sarah Andrews had 12 points and seven assists for Baylor (21-5, 11-2 large 12). Walker scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half.

Jordan Harrison led West Virginia (19-5, 9-4) with 20 points. JJ Quinerly, an average of 19 points per game, added 17 points.

Andrews made a 3-indicated 44 seconds in the first half to give Baylor 36-26. The biggest lead of the bears in the game came to a basket from Vonle with 4:47, left in the third quarter to make 50-34.

Baylor begins to start the conference game in the Nicky Colen era. Bears play in Texas Tech on Saturday.
