16-year-old, accused of deadly shooting in New Hanover-UEK County

Wilmington, NC (Wect) -16-year-old was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on Sunday, February 9th.

The New Hanover Sheriff’s office (NHCSO) arrived at Meridian Village apartments early in the morning. They found Nathaniel Turner, 27 years old, dead in his apartment of numerous firearms.

A 24-year-old woman has also been shot dead many times and was taken to a Regional Medical Center in New Hanover by EMS. She is currently in stable condition.

A 16-year-old was arrested for first-degree murder, an attempt at first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

“This case remains an open investigation, and anyone with information about this incident should contact the NHSO Detective Department of the Detective Department of (910) 798-4260,” NHCSO wrote in a press release.
