State offices in Topeka will be closed tomorrow – ForTscott.biz

– Due to safety concerns about winter weather conditions arising from the approaching winter storm, Governor Laura Kelly issued an unfavorable time declaration for Shoni County, ordering state offices buildings in Shawney County to be closed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

The declaration enters into force at 11:59 pm Tuesday, February 11, and lasts until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, February 12. On Wednesday, a revaluation of weather conditions will be made to determine whether the declaration will be further expanded.

“In anticipation of a winter storm affecting state operations, we close the buildings of state offices in Shawney County on Wednesday,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “As I have done in the past, I urge all Kansani to exercise increased driving caution and take action to make sure that their families are prepared for potentially dangerous winter turbulent conditions by making an emergency plan and a home emergency set.”

This declaration applies to all insignificant civil servants in the executive branch agencies under the jurisdiction of the governor who work in the shown County. The appointment of bodies in offices outside the Shonnie County has the opportunity to announce an unfavorable time for these counties.

During the period of adverse time, the main employees are required to report to work as usual. The benefits meeting the requirements, insignificant employees, must record an unfavorable time for leave during the period of adverse time. Remote work is not required.
