The fourth anniversary of the Hope Bridge Center providing crisis care for the residents of the Eastern Baton Ruzh – WBRZ

Baton Rouge, LA (February 11, 2025)-The Center for Bridge Centers of Hope, the first of its kind Louisiana Center, proudly celebrates its fourth anniversary of providing basic carisation services for the parish crisis In Eastern Baton Rouge, facing mental health and the use of substances challenges.

With every five adults in the United States, affected by a mental health disorder, the search for mental health and the treatment of use of substances continues to grow. The center of the bridge has made significant progress in dealing with this growing need, but there is still an urgent need for more education in the community about the importance of stabilizing the crisis – how it works when necessary and how to gain access to care in times of times of behavioral health emergencies.

“Mental health or crises for substance use take many forms and affect everyone, regardless of their age, origin or situation. Since its opening in February 2021, the center of the bridge has become a vital resource of the Community, operating 24/7 to provide immediate access to professional care for persons in crisis.

“Any over the age of 18 can access our facility at any time, day or night. We have two entrance points – one for the general public through the lobby and the other for law enforcement and the first responses that can bring persons to a crisis here instead of the parish prison or a crowded emergency room, “says Kleiburn. “With an average response time of less than five minutes, we provide immediate support to allow the first respondents to return quickly and safely to their duties. In many ways, the bridge center provides similar services as those in the Emergency Department of Crisis for Mental Health or Use of Substances without being classified as a hospital. “

In the last four years, the Bridge Center has greatly expanded its work, collaborating with public organizations, first responding and local leaders to raise awareness of crisis care. These efforts have helped to overcome the barriers to treatment and to ensure that people know where to turn when they or a loved one need help.

To date, the bridge center has served over 11,000 persons in a crisis, providing the basic care and support required to restore the stability and hope. His services include crisis monitoring, short -term psychiatric care, medication aided, withdrawal of withdrawal and detoxification.
