Airport crash in Scottsdale: Witness recalls the moment Airplane – FOX 10 News Phoenix

Federal investigators have already taken over A place to crash at Scotsdale Airport where a pilot was killed Monday afternoon.

Investigators were at the scene of the crash on Tuesday, considering evidence.

Authorities released the identity of the pilot who died in the crash on February 10 as 78-year-old Jii Vitoski.

What they say:

At the time after the impact, Gordon’s camera was rolling when the firefighter arrived. They suffocated the engine, switching it off as the fuel smell filled the air.

“There was no fire. It could have been a mass catastrophic,” Gordon Johnson of Airfare He said on February 11th.

The collision was captured in monitoring cameras at Scottsdale airport on Monday afternoon.

The aircraft, Learjet, registered by a member of the Mötley Crüe group Vince Neal, had a problem with its landing, diverted from the track and hit a parked aircraft, Gulfstream.

Neil was not on board.

“I saw that the gear was cut and descended behind the plane,” Johnson said.

Dig for a deeper:

Once, Johnson flew the same plane in 2005 as he broke out for sale. He noted the jet landing equipment like this.

“The systems are powered by electric, initially micro switches that open transport valves, hydraulic valves that force hydraulic fluid in the gear system and force it to be removed,” Johnson said.

Two passengers were seriously injured and another was also treated in the hospital. The fifth man who was inside the bay did not want treatment.

“It could have been worse,” Johnson said. “It’s still really bad.”

What’s next:

FOX 10 turned to NTSB for all investigation updates. They did not hold a press conference and the local authorities were not ready to deal with many questions on Monday night.

Usually, federal investigators take several weeks to publish a preliminary report.
