The Welsh pro dancer, who hails from Caerphilly, has just returned to Strictly 2024 after missing last season following a breast cancer diagnosis.
This season she was paired with JLS star JB Gill.
The pair performed a foxtrot to Toploader’s Dancing In The Moonlight on Saturday (October 26) night’s Halloween Weekly Show, scoring 32 points.
Amy Dowden could miss Strictly Come Dancing after collapsing
However, Dowden may be absent from Sunday’s (October 27) Strictly Come Dancing results show after she collapsed backstage on Saturday night.
Paramedics treated the Welsh dancer at Elstree Studios, according to The Sun, before taking her to hospital.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
“An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an elderly woman, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care.’
A statement from Amy’s spokesperson to The Sun read: ‘Amy was unwell and an ambulance was called as a precaution.

The BBC has not confirmed whether Dowden took part in the results show, which was filmed immediately after the live show on Saturday, but it is understood that Gill was seen performing without her.
