Offensive player of the year

Chip Green, Senior, QB, Littlefield

Green is 220 out of 332 passing for 3146 yards, 28 touchdowns and seven interference. He also moved 248 times for 1416 yards and 27 TD. Green won MVP in the area and led Littlefield to its deepest playoff of 2016.

Defense Player of the Year

Alex Rodriguez, Senior, DL, Shallowater

Rodriguez, the regional protective MVP, recorded 98 equipment (55 solo), including 16 for loss, eight bags, 13 fast defenders, one forced stroke, one recovery of fumble and one interception.

Newcomer of the Year

Daniel Ramos, Fr., QB, Lamesa

Ramos finished 174 of 298 attempts to cross 2,575 yards, 38 TD and eight intercepts. He made the first team of the All-District as he led the lames to his first district championship in 2001.

Coach of the year

John Wright, post

On his third season, Vers returned a post to glory.

The antelopes went 13-1, reaching the final of the region for the first time from the state champion’s performances in 2019 and 2020. The overturning came on the heels of the campaigns from the back to 2-8.

First team

Welker Horn, Senior, QB, Lubbock Christian

Horn threw for 4000 yards, 51 TD and five intercepts. He added 580 fast yards and eight TD to the Tapps All-State second team.

Jordan Martinez, Senior, RB, Tahoka

Martinez ran for 1670 yards and 21 TD at 220 worn. He also caught two passes for 15 yards and a result. He made the first team of All-District.

Rolando Martinez, Senior, RB, Abernane

Martinez rushed 210 times for 1.752 yards and 17 TD, adding 20 catch for 264 yards and four TD. It was a district joint MVP.

Ruben Arguel, Senior, WR, Tachoka

Arugello, Regional MVP, had 60 catch for 1 001 yards and 10 TD. He added 177 yards and three TD to 12 carries.

Mauricio Herrera, Senior, WR, MULESHOE

Herrera has published 84 catch for 1.271 yards and 15 TDS, adding 19 carrings for 126 yards and four TDs.

Cylius mccurley -jr., WR, LAMESA

McClli made 86 catch for 1316 yards and 27 TDS to win the MVP area. He set school records for one -season receptions and yards.

Barrett Lee, Senior, Te, Lubbock Christian

Lee caught 37 missed for 614 yards and eight TD to make the first Tapps All-State team.

Gerrit Boschma, Jr., Ol, Shallowater

Boschma led Shallowater to pancakes for the second season, winning from the first All-District team.

Kelton Carver, Senior, Ol, Abernathy

Carver, a commitment to the Air Force, was estimated at 97% with 107 pancakes and zero bags permitted. It was the district offensive line MVP.

John Conli, Senior, All, Sudan

Conli, the Regional Liner of the Year for the second season, ranked 92% with 22 pancakes.

Colton Hurst, Senior, Ol, Idalou

Hurst ended with 92% grade, 14 pancakes and two bags.

Mason Wright, Jr., All, post

Wright rated 94% with 18 pancakes.

Jenson Davis, senior, utility, Idallo

Davis accumulated 300 yards for the return of kicks and 186 yards to return Punt with two TD. He also caught 58 missed for 1.024 yards and 11 TD.

Jackson Arington, Senior, DL, Abernane

Arrington, a university’s commitment with friends, has published 58 equipment, including 14 for loss, seven sacks and four forced strikes. He made the first team of All-District.

Jonathan Harris -Jr., DL, Roosevelt

Harris had 60 equipment, including 16 for loss and eight bags.

Tyson Reyes, So., DL, Sundown

Reyes recorded 85 shells (58 solo), including 21 for loss, three bags and 17 fast defenders.

Victor Saenz -jr.., DL, ropes

Saenz had 186 gear (53 solo), including 39 for loss, six bags, six quick defenders, two forced strokes, one block of Punt and one breakthrough.

Ben Castile -Jr., LB, Littlefield

Castile had 160 shells (110 solo), including 27 for loss, two sacks, three forced strokes, two recovery and one block of Punt. He was the Newcomer of the Year Cooperation of the Year.

Hudson Franklin, Senior, LB, Shallowater

Franklin won the MVP region with 144 gear (90 solo), including 12 for loss, one bag, four quick defenders and two intercepts.

Stephen Hernandez, Senior, LB, Tahoka

Hernandez publishes 178 equipment (71 solo), including 14 for loss, 2½ bags, 10 quick defenders, eight forced ignition, five Fumble recovery and three breakthroughs.

Kaden Riker, So., LB, Ropes

Ricker recorded 200 shells (53 solo), including 45 per loss, 10 sacks, 29 fast defenders, six forced strokes, two breaks on the pass and one protective TD.

Gavin Broome, Senior, DB, Plains

Broome publishes 40 gear (25 solo), including one for loss, six intercepts, one forced blow and one recovery.

Keyandre Jefferson, Senior, DB, Post

Jefferson had 73 shells, including three for loss, four intercepts, four Fumble recoveries, one forced blow and one protected TD.

Rolando Martinez, Senior, DB, Abernah

Martinez had 85 equipment, including six for loss, one bag, three intercepts and two forced blows.

Branson Sintal, So., DB, Ropes

Simental has published 86 gear (37 solo), including eight for loss, nine interference, 12 passes on the pass and one protective TD.

Lucas Jarnagin, senior, utility, Idalu

Jarnagin recorded 97 equipment (47 solo), including 20 for loss, five bags, 16 quick defenders, one Fumble recovery and one breakthrough.

Clayton Vincent, Senior, K, Shallowater

Vincent made 11 out of 15 goals with 48 yards long. It converts 47 of 48 additional points and kicked 44 touches.

Kutter Houchin, Senior, P, Idalou

Huchin an average of 38 yards per Punt with 46 long. He had seven pants, removed inside the line of 20 yards and two inside 10.
