Drunk County Durham Sexual Crime Master Student in the Bus Bus – North Echo

Gary Ashley Win ignores other blank places after getting on the bus in Durham County and paved its way to the back of the vehicle where the girl, in her PE set, dressed in shorts, was with a friend who came home from school At 16.10 on December 11.

The Crown Court in Durham was said to the 49-year-old defendant, who has previous sexual crimes in her record, intentionally sitting near the girl, between her and her friend.

Paul Cleiabi, pursuing, said that Winn was engaging the girl in a conversation while drinking beer with beer before putting a hand on the inside of the right thigh.

The incident was captured in CCTV of the vehicle, showing that the defendant bends to the girl with a hand moving in her direction.

The driver contacted the police until the defendant got off the bus at the next stop before urinating publicly out.

He was arrested and when he was interviewed, he told employees that he had drank and could not remember that he was touching the girl, claiming that he did not think he had done so.

But in a court hearing in court last month, a 49 -year -old, without a fixed address, acknowledged a sexual assault charge.

The victim’s statement was read before the court in which the girl said she was initially angry and then unhappy when the “man” touched her.

She was worried that she might need to testify to a lawsuit, but she was relieved to say that the defendant had pleaded guilty.

But she said she was worried that he had possibly saw him in public.

This led to the fact that it was initially protected from men and even teachers from men at school.

Since then, she has refused to get on the bus alone.

The girl added that over time she felt a little more secure, knowing that the defendant was in custody.

She also thanked the people who helped her at the time, including her girlfriend and the bus driver who took immediate action.

(Image: Durm Standabulars) The court said the defendant had previous sentences for sexual assault on his record, recently received a 16-month sentence in April 2023 for such an incident involving a vulnerable woman with difficulties in training, also on a bus.

He was also subjected to an order to prevent sexual harm (SHPO) after a crime of exposure in 2021.

Johnny Walker, about Win, told the court that there was a little mitigation that he could expose on behalf of the defendant, except the fact that “quite correctly” admitted the accusation in hearing a legal basis that allows the victim to be informed to offer comfort that there will be no test.

“He would want to apologize through me.

“He really apologizes for his actions and has a look at his insult.

“He recognized what he did was extremely wrong.

“It was clearly humiliating and humiliating to the victim.”

G -n -Walker said that while he was in custody, the defendant has taken steps to engage in drug and alcohol services, as well as with the educational team and others who can help him before he regains his freedom.

“He actively takes steps to eliminate these bad decision -making incidents that have been disturbing him in the last few years.”

(Image: the northern echo) Judge’s defender Tom Mitchell said to Win: “You are 49 with 16 sentences for 26 crimes, some of which are of great importance, including several for breach of SHPOS and one sentence for possession of a knife.

“I read the evaluation of the probation service.

“This makes difficult reading.

“It was a predatory behavior aimed at a child in a public place while you were intoxicated, all aggravating characteristics of the case.

“I agree with the author of the report that you are a high risk of causing serious harm to the public, children and especially single children.”

Judge Mitchell said she was fortunate enough to get an ambulance, including her girlfriend and bus driver.

“You put it in a terrible position from your actions that day.

“What you did was humiliating and humiliating to someone who was particularly vulnerable because of her circumstances, aggravated by the fact that you were drunk and from your previous sentences.”

By imposing an 18-month sentence for prison, the judge stated that there was “no question” to be suspended, given the actions and record of the defendant.

He said to Win: “I consider you a real risk and I hope in the future the risk will be managed.”

The judge extended the defendant’s Shpo to ten years, while for the same period he will also be subject to notification requirements as a sexual criminal.
