Local Home Market forecasts in anticipation of possible tariffs – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – There were many conversations about President Donald Trump has already signed a law and an additional surveillance area is possible tariffs that need to be placed in foreign countries.

This, along with other economic factors such as inflation, and the unemployment rate will contribute to the number of federal reserve reduction in 2025.

Decisions made at the federal level can influence local problems, and the home market in Baton Rouge can see influence. The cost of borrowing does not seem to be declining at the moment.

Imports of goods such as timber, for example, can be more expensive due to these reciprocal tariffs.

The Greater Baton Rouge Housing Builders Association is closely monitoring all this and wants to inform you.
