50 students from the Wilmington High School are ready to visit Central America for a mission – Wway Newschannel 3

“Sometimes we forget how they affect and change us. I am excited to see how God works through us and them.”

New Hanover County (WWAY) – On Wednesday, a group of high school students from the coastal Christian high school will head to Costa Rica for a mission for the purpose. There are about 50 Christian school students who are excited as they prepare to travel more than 2000 miles to Central America, helping families in need with homes and resources.

Within the Coastal Christian High School in New Hanover County, Jr. Margaret Anne Packed Delivery to prepare for his journey, which can bring an attempt to change life.

“Sometimes we forget how they affect us and change us. I am excited to see how God works through us and them, “Noto said.

Also, the continuation of this trip for the second time is Senior, Haley Whitfield.

“God sent you to do this. We were a small part of his plan for these people, but we still need to influence, “Whitfield said.

For several months, these two and about 48 other students have raised funds and were preparing to spend a week in Costa Rica and El Salvador for their annual mission. Their purpose is to complete the construction of a church and to return to the community.

There is a lot of work for Notto and Whitfield. They say they will focus on the ultimate goal to help the community stimulate their motivation.

“I think we have to focus on doing this for them and we want it to happen so that they can experience joy,” he said.

Students not only build homes also build connections.

“I like to see students who have a heart and passion for other people,” says Josh Lawrence, Dean of students at Coastal Christian High School. “To love them well and to serve the Lord.”

For some, such as Lawrence, the trip has a deep personal meaning.

“We serve God who is an ascending God. He sent Christ to save us and redeem us, and He urges those who love Jesus to come in and do the same, “Lawrence said.

With $ 12,000 that students have collected, this allows them to go beyond their comfort zones and really make a change.
