At least one person was dead and several injured after a small business plane crashed into a parked plane when he arrived at Scotsdale Airport in Arizona, right east of Phoenix, on Monday afternoon.

The arriving aircraft is owned by Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neal, according to the singer. Neil was not on board, said representative Warrick Robinson in a statement to CNN.

One person was killed in the crash and four were injured, said the captain of the fire service of Scottsdale David Foil. Two were taken to local traumatic centers, while one was treated later and one refused treatment.

Respondents are still working to eliminate the body of the deceased victim, Foil said. Police have not released the names of those on board.

Two pilots and two passengers were aboard Neal’s plane, according to Robinson.

The Learjet 35A aircraft arrives from Austin, Texas when it diverted from the runway and crashed into a parked Gulfstream G200 jet, according to the public information employee at Scottsdale Airport at a press conference on Monday.

“It seems that the left main equipment failed when landing, which led to the accident,” Queester said.

The National Transport Safety Council is at the scene and leads the investigation into the incident, according to Queester.

The crash has followed several aviation disasters in recent weeks, including a fatal collision in the middle near Washington, Colombia, which died all 67 people on board both the plane and the Medvak plane crash in Philadelphia, which killed seven.

The FAA has stopped flights at the airport, he added.

CNN turned to the airport, FAA and NTSB for more information.
