Chesapeake Life Center offers healing for those who are experiencing a loss after DCA tragedy – Southern Maryland News Net

The Chesapeake Animal Center will offer “Cure our Community: Navigating the grief after the DCA tragedy” to support those affected by the tragedy on January 29 at Reagan National Airport.

The grief advisers, informed of the trauma of the Chesapik Center, will lead this healing seminar from 2 to 3:30 pm Saturday, February 22, in the hospice of the center of Chesapike’s 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland.

The session offers a supportive space for community members to contact others who share their loss. Together, they can learn about strategies for grief and healthy coping, participate in activities for expressing and processing emotions and creating a memory.

Adults will meet separately from children and teenagers to provide appropriate age conversations.
