It was a busy night for Tascosa on Friday night as the Lady Rebels swept Palo Duro at home on Senior Night in three sets, 25-10, 25-12, 25-7.

With the win, Tascosa (31-9 overall) clinched second place outright from District 3-5A, moving to 13-2. Palo Duro falls to 10-24 overall.

The Lady Rebels saw Bennett Berryman lead the backcourt with 16 digs and served five aces. Libby Miller dished out 19 assists and the offense was paced by Bentley Bundy’s 12 kills.

Behind a strong team effort, the Caprock Lady Longhorns defended home court, defeating Plainview on Saturday, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Marlene Ramirez did it all for Caprock, dishing out 34 assists, registering 13 rebounds for a double-double with four kills. Teammate Grace Morales had 18 digs with four kills and four assists.

Caprock is now 18-18 overall and finishes district at 6-10.

In other district games, Lubbock-Cooper defeated Lubbock Monterey 25-21, 25-17, 25-19. The Lady Pirates (28-12) will be tied for third in the district, currently sitting at 12-3.

Lubbock Coronado defeated Lubbock High 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-19. The Lady Mustangs (23-17) are now 10-5 in league play and have secured the final playoff spot.

West Plains was pushed to the limit by Dumas as the Demonettes gave the Lady Wolves everything they had, but West Plains was able to put away Dumas in a thrilling five set, 25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 20- 25, 17-15.

The Lady Wolves led 2-0, only to see Dumas rally and tie the match, forcing a fifth set. West Plains was able to secure the final two points for the win.

West Plains (26-11) earned a share of the District 4-4A title with the win to move to 12-1 in District 4-4A. Dumas (21-21) remains tied for the fourth and final playoff spot with Hereford at 6-7.

Cecilia Murillo quarterbacked the offense with 23 assists and was on the backline with 21 tackles for a double-double. Aaniyah Kitchen chipped in 12 kills with four blocks and Piper Patterson totaled 12 kills.

Dumas’ Rylee Schacher went to great lengths trying to pull off the upset. Schacher finished the match with an impressive triple-double of 17 kills, 13 digs and was unreal at the net with 12 blocks. Teammate Sophie Clements did a great job offensively with 42 assists and Hannah Hernandez tallied 30 digs.

Randall and Canyon remained tied for second place one game behind West Plains for first place in District 4-4A with one game remaining in the regular season.

The Lady Raiders defeated Pampa 25-8, 25-23, 25-19, while the Lady Eagles topped Borger 25-18, 25-15, 25-12.

Randall (26-13 overall) and Canyon (24-12) are both 11-2 with one game remaining in the regular season.

In the win over the Lady Harvesters, Brooke Henderson knocked down 12 kills to go with 10 digs for a double-double. Teammate Sidney Soria had 38 assists with eight possessions.

During Canyon’s blowout against Borger, Brooklyn Kinsey paced the attack with 10 kills. Landry Jay supplied the defense with 14 tackles.

Hereford was able to keep pace with Dumas for the final non-District 4-4A playoff spot, sweeping Perryton 25-8, 25-15, 25-18, on Saturday.

The Lady Whitefaces (24-18) are tied with Dumas at 6-7 in league play with one game remaining in the regular season.

As she does almost every game, London Baker paced Hereford with a double-double, leading the offense with 12 assists and 11 kills.

Bushland took care of River Road on Saturday, going three sets, 25-11, 25-10, 25-16.

The Lady Falcons continue the momentum of their 13-year district winning streak, reaching an incredible 96 straight. Bushland is now 7-0 in 1-3A and 38-4 overall. River Road (22-13) goes to 3-4 in the region.

Ambree Hatfield paced Bushland with 10 kills. Ansley Tiffin-Fernandez had 17 assists and Brooklyn Koenig had eight kills.

In the other district match, Friona defeated Dimmitt 25-10, 25-11, 25-4.

In just the fourth year, the Vega Lady Longhorns can call themselves district champions for the first time in program history.

Vega won the outright title by winning a home sweep of Highland Park on Saturday, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

The Lady Longhorns remain a perfect 5-0 in district and are now an impressive 31-5 overall. The Lady Hornets fall to 19-9 overall and 1-4 in league.

Sanford-Fritch captured the District 1-2A runner-up seed by defeating rival West Texas High in three sets, 25-13, 25-15, 25-16, on Saturday afternoon.

Ryah Payne was all over the court, knocking down 11 kills with six blocks. Saydee Williams chipped in with eight kills.

The Lady Eagles (26-6) secure second place with a 3-2 mark in the district. The Lady Comanches slip to 20-13 overall and 1-4 in district play.

District 1-1A continues to be the most unpredictable league in the Texas Panhandle, and Saturday was no different.

After losing to Miami on Tuesday, Wildorado clinched second place and a playoff berth by defeating district champion Fort Elliott in five sets, 20-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16, 15-10.

The Lady Mustangs (9-14 overall) punch a ticket to the playoffs, improving to 6-3 in district play. The Lady Cougars, who already clinched the 1-1A championship, lose their first district game, falling to 16-7 overall and 8-1 in the district.

The race for the third and final playoff spot is a mess. Kelton defeated Shamrock on Saturday in four sets, 25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19.

The Lady Lions (11-7) are tied for third with the Lady Irish (15-13) at 5-4 with one game remaining in the regular season.

Miami also kept its postseason hopes alive, sweeping Daruzette 25-9, 25-6, 25-4. The Lady Warriors (13-16) are a game back of Kelton and the Shamrocks for the final postseason spot at 4-5 with one game remaining.
