It was with a deep sadness that Greg’s family spent his sudden crossing at the age of 59. Greg was out, doing one of the things he loved most, riding the paths in Quebec with a group of friends when he suffered a fatal, heartfelt event. He will be agonizingly missed by his wife and life partner for the last 39 years, Kim, and forever valuable by his children Michael (Chloe) and Sarah (David). Greg also survived his father Gilbert, sisters Katie (Mark), Wendy (John) and Deborah, Mother-in-law Mary Sivert, Zet Rob, Nieces Drew (Megan) and Josh (Ho-ion), Scheli (Dawson) niece Sweet great-priests and nephews. Preceded by his mother Shirley, stepmother Joyce and mother -in -law beans.
Greg was both well -known and well -loved in our local community. As a proud owner of Sperry Contracting for the last 25 years, it has a deep impact on the lives of many. His employees, the merchants he worked with, his clients, all use words like “great person, easy, best ever” to describe it. Greg would do literally everything for everyone. For many nights, he will receive an evening phone call from someone and he will be dressed and ran out of the door to remove leaks, apply a generator or patch the roof without thinking. The size of life that he touched only to his daily work life is incredible. Greg also had many friendships that were so important to him, both here and in Nova Scotia. In the last few days, there are many stories and memories that talk about his character and the complete dedication he had to others, and that was very appreciated by his family.
While he was so much for so much, Greg’s priority was always always his family. He would do absolutely everything about Kim, Michael and Sarah. He has never complained, he has never been angry or raised his voice, he has never been impatient. They feel his love in absolutely everything he has ever done for them, and wherever they look now, part of it is just “there.” There are no words to describe how his loss will affect his family. He will forever be their beloved husband and dad.
It is important for his family to admit proud, Barry, Kevin, Liam, Lyle and John, his friends of the sledges, who took care of him to the very end in a beautiful, cold day; The unknown rider who stopped helping them in every way; His nephew Drew, who missed everything to take Kim, Michael and Sarah for a long, heavy trip to the Quebec mountains and back so that they can say their last goodbye.
The family appreciates the pouring of the love given to them. We welcome you to visit the family at the Highland Park Funeral Center, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Thursday, February 13, from 5:00 pm or on Greg’s life holiday on Friday, February 14 at 14:00. We would want to consider making a donation to the humane society in Peterborough instead of flowers, as Greg loved his fluffy friends.
