Santa Fe athletics: Week in Review – WRUF

Santa Fe College had a separate performance over the weekend, passing 3-3 in its athletic schedule.

During the weekend games/week ahead

Softball

Santa Fe’s softball team had a successful weekend as he swept Tallahassee State on Saturday to extend his winning series to seven. Pitcher Riley Bennett secured her first victory in her SFC career. The saints are preparing for two -headed Thursday and Saturday this week against Florida State College and Talahasi State College.

Baseball

The Baseball team at Santa Fe College had a two -headed head against South Florida State College over the weekend. The saints lost the first game 9-7 and won the second 8-5 to move to a record of 5-7 in the season. Ryan Chase and Eric Blair had bats at the end of the game to secure the victory. The tenth Innning was marked by Chase’s solo home and Bleir’s two -time home, giving the team a three -point team. The saints will host their next match tomorrow afternoon against TNXL Academy at 14:00

The team will play Polk State College later this week on Thursday and Saturday for a series of three games.

Basketball

Santa Fe’s men and women’s basketball teams lost this weekend, both of which fell to the State College in Daytona on Saturday.

Women’s basketball is confronted with a good match, but lost by a basket of 65-63. They will be eager to compensate for this loss when they are heading for their games this week. The saints will host the State College in East Florida this Wednesday at 5:00 pm, after which you will take the way to Hillsborough Community College this Saturday at 2:00 pm

Men’s basketball had great efforts, but also lost 85-75 in the Daton State. They will seem to compensate for the loss this upcoming week as they face the State College in East Florida at 7pm on Wednesday at home, followed by the Hillsborough Community College community this Saturday at 16:00 on the road.

It was another exciting week for Santa Fe Athletics, with strong performances throughout the board. While spring sports continue, the saints will look to upgrade their success and learn from close games.
