Police: Daddy throws youth hockey reflexes in a “hassle -free” attack – Mynorthwest

The father of his 40s is likely to face charges of attacking after pushing two youth hockey referees at a Northgate match on Sunday, according to a report by the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Video from multiple angles shows that the man that the Seattle police have not baptized, goes to the ice rink at Kraken Community Iceplex. He then saw to approach a pair of young referees that speak at the end of the rink and the man pushes them to the ground.

Jody Carpenter, President of the Youth Hockey League, the Pacific northwestern Amateur Hockey Association, said the two referees were 13 and 14 years old and were not seriously injured.

What does the police say happened?

A preliminary police report from SPD shows that the employees responded to the rink at about 11:53 on Sunday, finding and stopping the man driving in SUV with his wife and son. He told the officers that he had intervened to protect his son, who was involved in a battle with an opponent’s player and that the referees “did nothing to stop the attack.”

Police have rejected his explanation, “there is no evidence to support (of suspects) that he acted in defense of his son during the attack.”

“The man’s attack over two minors was obviously hassle -free, and behavior was particularly outrageous because of the size and difference between the victims and the suspect,” an unnamed officer wrote in the report.

On Monday morning, Carpenter told Kiro Newsradio that he examines options to keep the man responsible and will discuss it with League legal teams, “to find out how far I can press my authority,” he said.

“I want to find out how far I can squeeze mine,” Carpenter added.

In a post on the League’s Facebook page, he called the father’s actions “completely unacceptable.”

The incident on Sunday is what youth sports staff considerate to be an increase in violent behavior by the parents of children’s athletes.

“Now, it seems that every time something inappropriate or the parent does not agree with the activity that happens on the ice with their child, they want to take responsibility and get involved,” Carpenter said. “I just want to send the message to the parents: let the game play. Nothing bad will actually happen in the end of your child. Even something bad [is] There is a bad thing on the ice-it will probably be really good for your child, long-term development. “

A separate attack in the port of a gig against the background of the hockey incident

Specific data on adult violence to children’s sports events in Washington were not available immediately, but Tacoma News Tribune reported another incident at Gig Harbor last week. It is alleged that a woman attacked another woman and accused her of interfering with the coaching matters in the Gig Harbor High School of Girls’ Basketball Team.

The alleged attack happened immediately after the team of the team on Tuesday night.

“This has led to the attacks on the attack,” said Gig Harbor Police Chief Kelly Busie. “There was as a check on the shoulder from one to the other, and then later, when the two encountered each other in Banya, one of the people pushed the head of the other into a wall.”

According to the report, it may be related to the January decisions of the school neighborhood of the peninsula to put three coaches on the team on administrative leave during the rest of the season. It is not clear why these coaches were put on vacation.

Busie told Kiro Newright, the investigation is still very early and that employees have not yet reviewed the video and interview the suspect attacker.

SPD wrote that I would recommend city lawyers to accuse the father of the incident on Sunday with two charges of attacking crimes.
