Img_0278Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), an environmental consulting firm with full service with over 35 years of experience offering environmental services, engineering and water resources, is pleased to announce its donation of $ 12,500 in support of two non -profit Reno organizations: Women and Children’s Center of Sierra (WACCS) and keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB). Each organization received $ 6,250 to develop its public service missions, empowerment and environmental management.

“The return of the communities we live in and working in is the basis for who we are in Broadbent,” says Matt Herick, Chief Hydrogeologist and Reno Department Manager at Broadbent. “It is an honor for us to partner with organizations such as WACCS and KTMB, whose efforts improve the lives of people and families in northern Nevada, while promoting a stronger, more healthy and cleaner community.”

The Center for Sierra Women and Children provides basic services to support women and their children while working to overcome poverty. By offering resources such as educational classes, training for life skills, a bank for diapers and job search assistance, WACCS adjusts its programs to meet the unique needs of its customers, all free of charge.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of Broadbent, which will have a direct and meaningful influence on the families we serve,” says Junela Zuniga, CEO at the Center for Women and Children of Sierra. “For many mothers, the struggle to provide basic things like diapers and food can be prevalent. This maintenance helps to lift this weight, offering hope, stability and the ability to build a more illuminated future. The contribution like this really changes the lives of women and children in our community. “

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful has been a major community since 1989, dedicated to maintaining Renault and surrounding areas clean and beautiful. Through educational programs, cleaning events and community engagement initiatives, KTMB inspires residents to be proud of the environment.

“We are grateful for this generous donation from Broadbent and Associates, which helps us to secure landfills, to keep the delivery of tools, and to make sure you keep Truckee Meadows beautiful.
