Structural fire in the Luzeern Valley causes great damage to the home; No injuries were reported – Victor Valley News – VVNG

Luzeern Valley, California (vvng.com) -The structural fire in the Lucerne Valley has led to significant damage to a two -storey home, which caused a significant reaction from the fire crews of San Bernardino County, which fought the flame for approximately 90 minutes.

At approximately 3:00 pm on February 5, 205, the fire crews of San Bernardino County were sent to a reported structure of fire in the valley of Lucerne.

The crews received reports of smoke coming from the openings of a house, probably descending from an attachment garage to a home in the 9200 Avenue Cody block.

Firefighters arrived to find a two -storey single -family residence with a 25% fire involvement, flames burning through the roof, and active fire spread to the attic. As additional resources arrived, crews have initiated internal attack operations to master the fire and perform a major search to ensure that there are no inhabitants inside.

Firefighters gained access to the roof to make vertical ventilation, as well as to bring lines to the hose to help in suppression efforts and to stop the spread of fire.

As the crews advanced to the second story, a significant fire was found in the attic. Due to the rapid progression of a fire, firefighters were forced to withdraw from the area. Shortly thereafter, part of the roof collapsed.

Fortunately, primary search confirmed that there were no inhabitants inside. Firefighters successfully stopped the fire from spreading to residential spaces and several bedrooms, keeping part of the home.

Suppression efforts were complicated by the lack of hydrants in the area requiring multiple engine companies and a water offer to transfer water to the scene. In addition, stored ammunition and propane tanks inside the combustion area created additional dangers during fire operations.

The fire is placed for approximately 90 minutes, but extensive major overhaul operations are required to ensure complete repayment. The home causes significant damage to the garage and approximately 50% of the structure.

The fire of San Bernardino County reacted with three engines, one ambulance paramedic and one battalion chief. Mud fire and the Apple Valley fire area. No injuries to civilians or firefighters have been reported. The American Red Cross was asked to help an eternally elderly and two dogs.

The reason for the fire remains under an investigation by the San Bernardino County Fire Department of the Fire Marshall.
