Paramedic out of duty responds to the Junction-Kidderminster Catastrophe crash

Western Mercia police said they had been called at Husum’s road around 7.30pm on Friday (February 7th) for two -cars collision reports.

HEREFORD and WORCESTER FIRE AND RESCUE Service also reacted on stage at the Birmingham Road and Husum Road intersection.

In an update today (Monday, February 10), police confirmed that no arrests had been made.

West Mercia police spokesman said: “We were called to Husum Wei at 7.30pm on Friday night after a two -vehicle collision.

“No one was seriously injured and no arrests were made.”

The West Midlands ambulance service said a paramedic outside duty also encountered RTC and evaluates patients at the scene.

They added: “The paramedic out of duty came across RTC at the Birmingham Road and Husum Way, Kidderminster at 19.31 on Friday, February 7th.

“One ambulance present and two patients were evaluated and discharged on the spot.”

The Wyre Forest Fire Station shared a Facebook post showing the incident’s location last week and said one of the appliances was originally hindered by a car that was “non -compliant parked”.

They said it led to the crew encountered “a significant difficulty in trying to leave and respond to an emergency conversation.”

They added: “White watch from the Wyre Forest Fire Station is present at RTC at the intersection of Birmingham Road & Husum Way tonight.

“Two vehicles participate, both are safe and all residents treated by crews and colleagues from the West Midlands ambulance service.”
