Snow today, bitter cold tonight – Dakota News now

Sioux Falls, SD (Dakota News now) – Today we have the first warning day for the southern half of the region. The light snow will develop later this morning along the I-90. We could see some light snow showers all the way to the north like the hallway of the highway 14. Consultations on winter weather conditions will be in force until later tonight and tonight. The wind will remain quite light, but today we could see 2 to 4 inches of new snow, with some places seeing up to 5 inches locally. Please make sure you slow down and give yourself a lot of extra time, especially on an evening trip!

Once the snow is over, we will have to deal with some bitterly cold air that moves in the region. Lower levels in northern South Dakota will fall near -20 tonight! Cold weather advisers will be in force until noon tomorrow in this part of the region. To the south we will still have low levels in teenagers below zero! Make sure you get together and give your car extra time to warm up tomorrow morning! Highs will only be in single numbers above zero.

More chances of snow will slide in the region for the second half of the week. It seems that the bigger part of the region can see another 1 to 3 inches by the time we get to the weekend. Cold weather will stick to the tops in teenagers for most of us. We can see a few 20 until this weekend.
