MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is partnering with Westwood Christian Church for its 14th annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday.
Three hundred monsters, princesses and more gathered in the parking lot of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. About 20 cars decorated their trunks and gave out candy.
Trick-or-treaters enjoyed games, rattles and candy.
“It’s the whole idea of bringing together people from all different walks of life, from all over the neighborhood, from all of southwest Madison and Verona. It’s just a great friendly family atmosphere and a way for us to give back to the community and people give back to us by coming out, spending time with us,” said Director of Outreach Rick Thomas.
Organizers say the long-standing tradition is a little different each year, and that this year’s weather is the best they’ve ever had.
