Police on the spot of an incident at a restaurant – Kolo

Reno, Nev. (Kolo) – A man is in the hospital after a shooting linked to an officer in the parking lot of the Regional Medical Center Renown.

It happened around 10:30 am on Sunday morning.

Renault police say, along with Sparks, the police are looking to find a wanted suspect. Initially, they found him near the corner of Montello and the ninth streets where they tried to stop the traffic. He took off and the police followed him to a hospital.

It was when he reached the area outside the emergency room, when the shooting happened. Four officers were involved in it and none were injured. The suspect was shot dead and taken for treatment. There is no word about his condition.

Police say there is no additional threat to the public.

The Washo County Sheriff’s service will handle the investigation of this officer firing.

According to a statement issued by Renown, a bullet struck the emergency room window, but no observers were injured in the regional campus of fame.

The hospital is blocking, which is removed from an abundance of caution and helps maintain safety by monitoring all entrances, according to Renown.

Those who need emergency services should use the main entrance, not the emergency entrance.
