Demi Lovato’s younger half-sister, Madison De La Garza, has heartbreakingly revealed that she lost her baby girl after undergoing an “emergency C-section” in late September.
Earlier last month, it was revealed that 22-year-old Maddie – who is best known for playing Eva Longoria’s on-screen daughter in Desperate Housewives – is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ryan Mitchell.
However, the actress posted a tragic update on Instagram on Saturday, writing: “On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency C-section, Ryan and I held out a little girl for the first and last time.”
“Thank you, Xiomara, for making us the parents of the most perfect angel in heaven. Mom and Dad love you sweet girl.
Demi, 32, responded to her sibling’s emotional post in the comments section, writing ‘love you so much Xiomara’. An angel in every sense of the word. I will be your aunt forever.

She continued, “One day we will come to see you, but it may take some time. Not a day will pass without you in our hearts.’
“I wish we had more time together before you have to go.” So have fun in your new world, the one we can’t see. ‘Cause every breath I take, I’ll take one for z.

Last month in September, Madison announced that she and her boyfriend were expecting their first child together.
At the time, she uploaded photos from Instagram that appeared to be taken at a baby shower.
In the caption, the actress wrote: “Oh Ryan, how I love you.” thank you for making all my dreams come true. baby Mitchell 10.24,” seemingly referring to the date of birth.
One of the images also showed Maddie’s mom, Diana De La Garza, as well as sisters Demi and Dallas resting their hands on her growing baby bump while flashing big smiles.
Earlier this year in June, the star went public with her boyfriend Ryan on her main Instagram page.
Maddie uploaded a selfie with Mitchell as they posed with the picturesque view behind them and wrote: “My whole world.”

In February last year, she opened up about her sobriety, which was achieved by tapping into the ‘ancestors’ trend on TikTok.
On the subject of getting sober, Maddie told E! News last year in March that she had been taking “advice” from her older sister Demi over the years.
The former Disney Channel star has been open about her mental health and past struggles with substance abuse.
“She obviously gives me a lot of great advice about her sister, but I think it’s stronger to see her in action,” De La Garza said of Lovato.
“I started sharing my personal story and I never, never, never would have if it wasn’t for her. Her honesty, her courage, and being an open book, I think that’s what drives me.
During a separate interview with E! News last month, Demi shared her excitement about becoming an aunt.
“I’m really excited that new life has come into our family. Family is very important to me. I value family and friends over success every day,” the singer said.

She played the character of Juanita Solis on the hit series Desperate Housewives from 2008 to 2012 (see above with Eva Longoria)
“When people ask me what advice I would give to child performers today, I would say value meaningful relationships in your life over success, because sometimes I didn’t and I regretted it.”
Lovato added, “But now that I think about it a lot, I can say that family means so much to me and I’m excited to be an aunt.”
Like Demi, Maddie has also found success in the entertainment industry as a director and actress.
She portrayed the character of Juanita Solis in the hit series, Desperate Housewives, from 2008 to 2012. She also had an uncredited role in her sister’s Disney film, Princess Protection Program (2009).
